This Refund & Shipping Policy is part of the Terms of Service for orders placed at livingsoillab.bio. It explains where we ship, how the Founder Pricing pre-order works, and how to get a refund.


Where we ship

We ship to addresses in the contiguous 48 U.S. states and the District of Columbia only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, or any other U.S. territory, and we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or freight-forwarding services. Orders attempted from these geographies will be canceled and refunded in full.

Founder Pricing pre-order — what you're buying

The Founder Pricing offer is a pre-order. When you place a Founder Pricing order:

The Founder Pricing offer is limited to the first 100 qualifying pre-orders. Slots are filled in the order pre-orders are received. After the 100 Founder slots are filled, or after the Founder period ends (whichever is first), the price returns to the standard list price of $149.

If the Estimated Ship Date changes

We will email you as soon as we know if there is a material change to the Estimated Ship Date. If you do not want to wait, you can reply to that email and request a full refund — we will process it to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Shipping the kit out

Your kit ships via USPS or a comparable carrier and is included in the price you paid (no separate shipping charge). You will receive a tracking number when the kit ships. If your kit does not arrive within 21 days of the shipment notification email, contact support@livingsoillab.bio and we will investigate and, where appropriate, ship a replacement or refund you.

Returning your soil sample to the lab

Your kit includes a prepaid return mailer addressed to our partner laboratory. Postage on the return mailer is included — you do not pay anything to send the sample back. Follow the collection instructions in the kit and place your sample container inside the return mailer. Sealed in the mailer, the sample is permitted for shipment under USDA APHIS PPQ Permit No. [PERMIT NUMBER FROM PATRICK].

Refunds

Before your kit ships — full refund, any time, no questions asked. Email support@livingsoillab.bio from the email address associated with your order, or include your order number in the message. We will confirm cancellation and process the full refund to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

After your kit ships, order cancellation is no longer available. If your kit arrives damaged or never arrives, or if we determine the sample cannot be analyzed due to a problem on our end (e.g., the kit container was defective, the lab declines the sample for a quality reason that wasn't caused by you), we will ship a replacement kit or refund you in full at your election.

If we cannot fulfill your order at all, we will notify you and refund you in full automatically. You do not need to take any action.

Sample quality

If your sample arrives at the lab in a form that prevents analysis — for example, contaminated, mixed with non-soil material, or under the minimum required volume — we will email you, explain why, and ship a replacement kit at no additional charge. We are not able to issue a refund in lieu of a replacement once a kit has shipped, except as described in this Policy.
